Our ABUS Granit padlocks have been developed using specifications laid down by Swedish insurance companies, which are known for their extremely high standards. In the case of the European CEN standards, which are also incredibly demanding, Granit locks are regularly classified at the highest levels.
New addition ABUS Granit™ 37ST/55: weatherproof, strong, secure – and made entirely of stainless steel
The special coating on the Granit locks offers a high level of resistance to corrosion. However, some applications have even more specific requirements. For outdoor use near salt water, in extreme weather conditions or in other corrosive industrial environments we recommend the new Granit 37ST/55.This lock is made entirely of stainless steel and therefore cannot rust. Of course, the new version still includes all the other features that make Granit locks so special, such as the ABUS Plus cylinder and the extremely high tensile resistance.
Key copy protection – duplicate keys can only be obtained by presenting a security card
All Granit locks are also available as an “SZP version”. This version is supplied with a security card that contains information about how to create key copies. It is important to note that additional keys can only be created if this card is presented to the locksmith in person.
This ensures that the lock’s owner or the person in possession of the card has full control over how many copies of their key are actually in circulation.
