The software industry doesn’t reward manual testers with enough recognition.
Not that everybody scowls at the mere title of the manual tester. Those days are still far, and would probably never come. But if you mention you are a DBA, you are much more likely to get into a passionate discussion about tech than if you mention you are a tester. Especially, the manual type.
