Public restrooms and rinse stations are located at the Centre St.Beach Patrol building, at the beach entrance. Public restrooms are also located a few blocks from the beach at Veterans Park (on Amber St.) and at the Nelson Ave.
In one square mile Beach Haven boasts pristine guarded beaches, bay access for all types of water activities, a thriving downtown with an array highly acclaimed restaurants for causal and fine dining, island shopping, and cultural activities.
Daytime is considered the safest time for ocean swimming. Visibility is low in early morning hours and at dusk, and predatory animals in the water tend to move closer to shore at night.
Weekly, Senior, and Veteran Badges can be purchased on the beach from a Beach Badge Checker. Beach Haven: Beach Badges must be purchased through the VIPLY app before beach entry. Wednesdays are “free,” meaning no beach badges are needed (in Beach Haven only).
Beach badges are required from 10:00am until 5:00pm daily, except Wednesdays, from mid-June until Labor Day. Direct your badge questions to the Clerk's office, from Labor Day through mid-May, at 609-492-0111, x210 and x215. Call the badge office for questions between mid-May and Labor Day at 609-492-9193.
