How does it work?

An annual self-assessed Local Property Tax (LPT) is charged on the market value of all residential properties in the State. This charge is administered by the Revenue.Find out more about LPT.

Step by step

Revenue issues reminder letters for payment of the property tax every year. There are two options for making your payment:

  • Bring the Revenue letter to your local post office and pay over the counter
  • Pay by quoting your Personal Public Service Number (PPSN)

How much does it cost?
