Bad produvt

Alien tape does not hold items heavier than a feather but it does strip your paint off the wall when removed. Should be sold as a paint stripper.

Absolutely Amazing!

-40c in southern Alberta and still going strong! We installed our outdoor Christmas lights along our fence at the end of November using this product, and they are still holding strong.! We "taped the lights to the fence and have had no issues! The Temps for the past week have been -40c and still holding strong as seen in the pics. We are pleasantly surprised! Always recommending to family and friends! Thanks Alien tape for an amazing product!

Items fall down

Used it for indoor Christmas decorations Lights fell down. Light decorations fell down. Christmas stockings fell down Don’t trust your valuables with it

I was skeptical, but happily surprised after using it. I bought the tape to keep things from sliding on table surfaces on the boat, and it works great for securing items from moving side-to-side. I have also used it to fasten the Apple TV box to the side of a wooden cabinet, and the box has stayed in place with no signs of slipping. The tape really does pull off or a smooth surface without leaving residue behind. For securing light items, this stuff works really good. I plan to purchase more once I use up the roll I’m using now.

Will remove the paint off the walls

Are you kidding me? This stuff will take the paint right off your walls...not to mention the first layer surface. BE WARNED. Don't use this to hang pictures to a wall. These were up less than 24 hours - needed to be adjusted, and took the paint right off on removal. Really annoyed by this misrepresentation!!!

Ruins Walls

I have bought Alien Tape to put up pictures on the walls. As I read the instructions and watched the commercials on TV, they said nothing about not attaching the tape to the walls! Taking a few pictures down completely ruined the walls!! I now need to have them fixed by hiring a handyman at the cost of $200.00! I have already used the tape on the pictures around my house-it is going to cost me a small fortune to fix those. Is there anything I can do to take the Alien Tape safely?

PERFECT FOR BASICALLY EVERYTHING!

This tape is perfect for basically everything! I used it to secure artificial plants on my planter boxes. As well as using it to secure window shades. No more nails or screws - thank you!

DO NOT USE THIS ON DRYWALL

It's good for very light items, but assume ever you stick it to, it will damage to some degree. I used it to hold up a lightweight board, and despite spraying with water to loosen it up, it still took a chunk of my drywall with it. I've used it to hold up our kitty's scratch board, and it's working great. Read the instructions carefully before you use!

It holds however it will take the paint and plaster off your wall.

Easily comes off?

Advertising says it easily comes off when you twist and not pull. Well it took off the plaster off my drywall crappy product. I also used it to hang a picture frame maybe 2 lbs max it keeps on falling off. Go figure never buy this.

Save your money

I got this tape thinking I could use it to tape some small wood shelves to my workshop wall. The first shelf I tired was made from plywood and must have been around 5 pounds at the most. I put a big strip of tape across the back and pushed it to the wall. It lasted around 4 or 5 minutes and the entire thing fell to the floor. I then washed the tape off, let it dry and put it on a single board of Maple and stuck it on the wall. It fell in around 15 seconds. I cleaned the tape up again and tried to stick the Maple board to another board. No luck. The tape had no stickiness left by this time and the Maple board immediately fell to the ground. I had to throw the tape away and try a new piece. Same result. The stickiness leaves the tape quickly and it does not come back. I cannot see how anything can be held on a wall with this tape. I realize that this is going against the consensus and the advertising promo, but for me this stuff just did not work. And I really tried. I gave it far more time than I normally would as I realize a negative review can impact sales. But for me this is a no go.

Hardly held a small floating shelf

I disagree with advertising; evidently doesn’t stick to any surface I used on a painted wall. Shouldn’t it work?

Easily destroys wall paint!

I can honestly say doesn’t work like it’s advertised on the commercial! First I will say the lightest picture wouldn’t hold with a piece of alien tape on all corners, it does not wash and can be reused , not only does not hang pictures on wall the tape that I had to remove from wall ripped up the paint like you can’t believe! If only I didn’t use it to help area rugs stay put ! Do not waste your money , use a nail so you don’t destroy your walls!

Did not stick properly

I used Alien tape to install a plastic clock on the wallI that I just bought I put two big pieces of tape and presses hard thinking it’s ok, I happen to go out meanwhile and when; I get back the clock was on the floor, cracked and a big piece of plastic was broken in the back, so I removed the tape on the wall and what a surprise the drywall came off with the tape. Plus I could not return the clock to the store broken like that’s d I paid 40$ for that clock,Here are a few pictures of the plastic broken and the drywall off.I will be very afraid to use that tape again so I think it’s over with me with that tape.

Does not work!!!!

This stuff is not only useless it can be dangerous as well as do expensive damage if you try to use it as it is described. I kept thinking maybe I did something wrong while applying it. So I kept trying. Broken mirrors, broken picture frames and a curtain rod that fell and broke a vase. It worked ok for securing a rug from slipping but then I damaged my new cherry hard wood floor because it had to be scratched off. I tell you honestly it is worthless.

Inaccurate description/instructions

1. Didn’t come off hard wood floor when holding door mat in place2. Instructions say outdoor use but also not to use in bathroom. Called customer service and was told not to use outdoors unless I’m covered area even though picture shows mailbox on brick pillar with no cover

Horrible on heavy items

Alien tape falls right off plastic services over a few pounds with a few weeks. It only works well on lighter items.

Don’t hang anything heavy by alien tape

Allen tape used to attach a 6lb speaker to plastic fell off after a couple weeks. Gorilla tape has held the same application almost a year.

You'll be sticking it back over and over again

The tape is useless unless you're going to use it to maybe stick credit cards on paper things like that it reminds me of whoever invented it what it shows on TV it does not do this is an honest review we're on our last roll and we're still trying to get the first thing we try to stick to stay and it hasn't yet I had to use some gorilla duct tape to keep a curtain rod that barely weighs a pound did everything like it said and that's that it didn't last five minutes before it fell again and again

Didn't work on vinyl siding

Use it to secure 2 light weight Blink security cameras outside to vinyl sliding. After 2 days I found both my cameras laying on the ground. I read that you shouldn't apply it to interior walls, and I don't need to hang any bricks, so I guess I'll give it to someone who might.
