Download PDFgear on your computer and launch it. Click on the Open File button to open a PDF from a local folder.
Go to Annotate > Annotation. All highlights will appear on your left. Click on one highlight, you will reach where it is. Copy the text and paste it to a Word, Excel, or TXT file.
PDF documents (side loaded via USB) do not support pen annotation. You should use Send To Kindle service so it is converted to Amazon's Print Replica format, which does support pen annotation.
Sumnotes is great for extracting data out of PDFs and worked flawlessly when other methods would capture the data incorrectly. The free version was great for our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Select all the annotations you want to extract, either on the sequence or in the Annotations table and click Extract. As with multi-interval annotations, you are given the option to concatenate all the annotations into a single sequence.
