Unlike making a totally new change, incremental innovation is more like a step-by-step strategy. Like what Sam has said, in class 14, we learned the concepts of disruptive innovation and sustainable innovation, and incremental innovation is like an eclectic method between both of them.

Take self driving as an example, instead of forcing people to accept this new technology, Fred Wilson, the author of incremental innovation, suggests that the reformation can be achieved feature by feature, and it is what Tesla is exactly doing now. Based on another article from vancouversun, by improving the Model S seden to all-wheel drive and adding self-driving “auto pilot” features, Tesla are making incremental innovation to boost the sales. Although “auto pilot” does not mean self driving, Tesla is letting consumers to accept self driving feature by feature.
