Important Information to Help You File a Claim

If you have located property in your name (at your current or previous address) using the New Jersey Property Search website, you may be entitled to money that is being safeguarded by the State of New Jersey. Filing your claim through the search website is the fastest way to get your claim processed. If you did not locate property on the NJ Property Search website but believe you have unclaimed property at our office, you can request UPA staff execute a manual search through the ‘Request a Property Search’ link below.

If you submitted a request through the ‘Request a Property Search' application, please allow up to 2 weeks to receive a response. If property is successfully located a claim will be created and a claim form will be emailed to you. The form will detail the property that was located and what documentation will be needed to established ownership and complete your claim. If we are unable to locate unclaimed property for you an email notifying you of this will be issued.
