Which Divine Beast is hardest? - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Q&A for Nintendo Switch (2024)

  1. Naboris has been known to be the hardest, by far, of all of the Divine Beasts. Its the largest, and is in a region where it has one unique thing: heat. Until you traverse far enough to purchase the Desert Voe outfit from the GSC, the heat makes it hard to get to Naboris at all. Then there's the Yiga Clan hideout, which have Yiga Blademasters in it that will kill you very swiftly if caught. Then you have to avoid lightning from Naboris to get on, figure out how to maneuver through it, and finally, your showdown with Thunderblight Ganon. Its much faster than the others, making it the hardest out of the Blights.
What im saying is that Naboris is the hardest Divine Beast out of all.

  4. Alright, Lemme break this down.

First, is Vah Medoh. The easiest of all. The dungeon itself is simple and so is the quest to get there. Plus, the power you get from it, Revali's gale, is extremely helpful to reach the other divine beasts.

Second is Vah Ruta. The reason this isn't the easiest is the camp of electric things near it, and the Lynel in the quest itself. The power, Mipha's grace, is alright but later in the game, you really won't need it until the battle with ganon. The boss' second stage is sort-of difficult, so that's why it is second.

Third is Vah Rudania. The hike up is difficult, and the heat of DM is a difficult challenge to tackle. The quest isn't all that hard, except for when you have to weaken Rudania, that part is difficult. But, the dungeon and boss aren't too hard. The power you get is incredible though, so that makes it worth it.

Last is Naboris. HOLY MOLY THIS DUNGEON IS HARD. The quest is difficult due to the yiga base, and traveling to the desert is hard also. The dungeon is difficult and the boss... it's my worst nightmare.

    Hopefully that helps!!

  5. I should point out that you can skip most of the enemies on the way to Zora's Domain by making use of the paraglider and/or Revali's Gale. You also don't need to battle the Lynel, which isn't too hard either if you want to tackle it. Looting the Lynel for a Lynel Bow is something I can get behind.

I think getting up DM is the hard part with Rudania. Mostly because it can be hard to find the lizards before making it to the city. Plus the armor can be expensive.

As for Naboris, the dungeon isn't that hard. Thunderblight on the other hand... Yeah, I can see why that would be tough. It's the only one I can't just head shot, and the electricity is a huge pain both figuratively and literally.

  7. N.A.B.O.R.I.S. There is a bunch of stuff with electric currents that you could get shocked accidentally doing the stuff for the terminal on the head, and hump is plain hard so I ravioli galed past the gap and revali galed the gate in front of the terminal

  8. Naboris. I had way more trouble fighting the boss in Naboris than I did the final boss.

  9. I started with Vah Ruta on my first playthrough, and started to get a feel for the other Divine Beasts when I understood how manipulating the Beast advanced my progress to the Blight Ganons. Waterblight Ganon was NOT gentle with me, but it did get me Mipha's Blessing as a reward after attempt #12.

At the end, however, Vah Naboris was more difficult; both in the Beast itself and in fighting Thunderblight Ganon. Vah Ruta the second-most difficult, then Vah Medoh, and the easiest being Vah Rudania.

  11. Naboris as a dungeon, is definitely the hardest. Rudania was also challenging, but Naboris definitely takes the cake. Electricity as an element is lethal, and confusing

Many people say that Naboris' boss is the hardest in the game, but I felt that it was actually pretty easy. For me the hardest boss was Rudania's

Easiest-Medoh (wind is an easy element to deal will)
2nd easiest-Ruta (water is also fairly simple, nothing too complicated)
2nd Hardest-Rudania (Boss is challenging, and Fire is hard to manage too)
Hardest-Naboris (Electricty is an element that can kill you instantly. A lot of people also say the boss is difficult, but I never felt like he was that bad)

  12. I found Getting to the boss on Naboris hard but the blight wasn't too bad - when you have a decent supply and supplier of ancient arrows and weapons you have a good chance ;)

  14. Naboris and Ruta were both hard for me. I did Ruta first, and it took me a while to get used to the kind of puzzles in divine beasts. Waterblight Ganon took me 2 tries, probably because I also wasn't used to the combat.
Naboris took me a long time and was the second one I did. None of the puzzles were particularly hard, but I got stuck for a while at one point. Thunderblight Ganon took me at least 15 tries, and really helped me get good at flurry rushes. If you can already get flurry rushes consistently, Thunderblight will probably be really easy.
I found Rudania and Medoh to both be really easy, and I think Rudania was the easiest. Windblight Ganon is pretty easy and I don't think I even took damage to Fireblight.

  18. Vah Neboris is definitely the toughest one. Though, most people lament the Yiga Hideout portion- I actually didn’t have too much trouble with that one; as long as you have plenty of mighty bananas to distract the blade masters, you can move pretty swiftly through that dungeon without being detected (and the boss is hilarious, I might add).

Thunderblight Ganon is a bit of a chore to beat if you’re not well-versed in dodging attacks, the other iterations are very simple and straightforward.

  19. I haven't completed all of the Divine Beasts yet but I'd say
Vah Medoh is the easiest, both in getting to it and beating Windblight Ganon (I did die to Windblight on my first attempt but that's because I didn't know it existed)
Then Vah Rudania. There's a steep incline in difficulty here but the hardest part for me was figuring out that bomb arrows exploded in my face. After that with only a few metal box incidents and falling, flaming rocks it was pretty easy. I killed Fireblight Ganon first try.
Then Vah Ruta for one reason. The Lynal and getting shock arrows. I put this off for *ages* until I managed to get to Korok forest and buy the shock arrows rather than dealing with the Lynal. Getting on the Divine Beast was also pretty hard, I landed on Vah Ruta a few times, run out of stamina, drowned, ran out of shock arrows... Waterblight Ganon was also pretty hard.
Vah Naboris. Still haven't gotten past the Yiga hideout, those Blademasters are *brutal*. I've heard a lot about how Thunderblight Ganon is pretty hard but since I haven't been able to get past the Yiga hideout, I don't know. I've heard that a good strategy (for the Yiga) is Statis+ and Ancient Arrows.

  20. now completed them all and I can say that with enough ancient arrows and luck the yiga hideout is a piece of cake. but you need good timing for the second phase of the thunderblight fight. but with rubber armour it's not too hard

  22. Naboris is definitely the hardest, Thunderblight Ganon is probably harder than Calamity Ganon himself. Do it in this order: Ruta>Rudania>Medoh>Naboris.

  23. Medoh is the easiest if you've got bullet time down. The hardest part is dealing with the cold, but Warm Doublet and cold resistance food/elixirs cover that well enough.
You can cheese Waterblight in Ruta with Cryonis. Getting into it is even easier than Medoh. You really only need 4 shots, and you can hit one generator, then quickly go back into bullet time and hit a second one before hitting the water.
Rudania is impossible without level 2 fire protection. As long as you have two pieces of Flamebreaker or enough Fireproof elixir, this one is actually tied with Ruta provided you bring metal weapons. The only challenge with getting in would be the Moblins, and that's if you already know how to handle the Sentries.
Naboris... Actually isn't that hard once you're inside. Actually, it isn't that hard as long as you know what you're doing even without glitches. Just time consuming. Thunderblight on the other hand is fast and will electrocute you if you don't have any electric resistance. Combine that with its shield and the metal rods that call down lighting during the second half of the battle, that one is the trickiest out of the blights. Ignoring the boss, the hardest part is hitting Naboris's feet.

The quests to access each one isn't all that hard if you know what you're doing. Heck, with the right bow and enough arrows, you could even forego stealth in Yiga hideout just by using bullet time. Ancient Arrows make it even easier, but by that point you could probably make a mockery of the blights. Shock Arrow collecting? You could buy those if you haven't already been killing Lynels by that point or don't want to sneak around in the rain.

  24. Ok, I suddenly feel like I'm simultaneously good and bad at the game. The only boss I ever died on was Water light Gannon, not counting the DLC Supermonk, but aside from a couple hiccups during the fight, Thunderblight Gannon wasn't terribly hard for me.

MythicalNinja - 4 years ago- report

  25. I don't think it's that Thunderblight is particularly HARD; he's just not as easy as the other three Blights.

I would say that Fireblight Ganon is easier than Windblight Ganon, though, since he tends to stay in close, takes a lot of time winding up for his attacks, and even when he does move out a ways, he always seems to stay within a certain distance of Rudania and your arrows and hovers around rather than teleporting.

Conversely, I feel like Windblight Ganon is underestimated a lot due to Medoh being known as the easiest of the four -- his attacks will drain your health quickly if you don't go in with ample hearts or sturdy armor, and trying to track him with your bow across Medoh's huge back is challenging if you don't have much stamina.
