If you try keeping Dex and strength on par them go with the Claymore. Same for Zweihander, and with Drake sword it doesn't scale with any stats but has good base damage

I'm right on the edge; this is where I'd stop with dex if I were going to go all out on strength (this is my first melee play through and it's great fun). But I think I'll keep dex up too, and rely on bows for ranged attacks, plus parries and bs for critical hits. No spells, no pyro, no miracles. Drake has been great but I'm looking towards a weapon I can invest some time and upgrades on.
