100 mb is, in my opinion, is too large to handle efficiently. You are probalby headed toward crashes, corrupted files and loss of data. Because the number of bits of memory in which the number is stored is finite, it follows that the maximum or minimum number that can be stored is also finite. For Excel, the maximum number that can be stored is 1.79769313486232E+308 and the minimum positive number that can be stored is 2.2250738585072E-308.

What happens to Excel with more than 1 million rows? Nothing special happens. Excel files can store and analyze 1,048,576 rows of data in a worksheet. Excel files can store and analyze way more than that in its data model or in a blob ( a special container for big data).
Why is Excel limited to 1 million rows?
It is a limit of the spreadsheet memory size. While you type it fills up Excel application memory. Application memory is limited because all good programs have established memory spaces so that it stays within program space and does not go beyond.
