Is Gorilla Tape the strongest tape?
The Gorilla Tape was also among the strongest tapes in our adhesion strength test, second only to Gaffer Power. (In truth, both took a backseat to the astonishing holding power of FiberFix, but that's not really a duct tape.)

Will Gorilla Tape hold?
Gorilla® Double-Sided Tape is made with a strong adhesive that is thick on both sides for a heavy duty bond. This tape is great for securing items indoors and out. Gorilla® Double-Sided Tape sticks to smooth and rough surfaces including carpet, rugs, flooring, wood, stone, brick, metal, vinyl, plastic, paper, and more.
Once opened there is no standard time, it will be dependent on storage conditions and age of the product, up to 9/12 months is a good guideline. Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal is best stored at room temperature, with the top and bottom discs from original packaging attached to help prevent the tape from drying out.

Gorilla Mounting Tape is a permanent tape and may cause surface damage or leave residue if removed. If Mounting Tape must be removed, the mounted object should be removed first, which is best be achieved by prying from one corner. Mounting tape can then be removed by slowly stretching the tape away from the surface.

If you are packing boxes for long-term storage, we'd recommend Scotch Long Lasting Storage Packaging Tape. It costs more per roll, but it is designed to keep your boxes sealed for years on end through extreme temperature swings.

Gorilla Tape can be removed, but with some difficulty, and it may leave some residue. We recommend using the tape as a blotter to remove any excess residue.
What can gorilla tape be used for?

Overall it's a close call between the Gorilla tape and the Duck Ultimate tape. I think the Gorilla tape is better value since it's a much thicker, stronger tape. But for some situations it's too thick.
The strongest double-sided tape is usually considered UHB, or Ultra High Bonding, tape. UHB tape offers superior adhesion on both sides of the tape to secure rugs, hang pictures, and more. VHB, or Very High Bonding, is another high-quality tape product worth considering.
