What is Cash App lock?
If you've misplaced your Cash App Card, you can temporarily lock it in-app or online to prevent new charges. To lock your card in-app: Go to the Card tab on your Cash App home screen. Select Lock card.
If your Apple Cash account is in review
If your account is locked while under review, you also can't transfer money to your bank or make purchases with Apple Pay.
Select the account to open the profile. Scroll to the bottom of the profile. If you need to block an account, Select 'Block' and follow the prompts.
If your account is locked, you will receive a notification within 24 - 48 hours confirming we completed an investigation and unlocked your account. After you receive the notification, you will be able to log in and resume using your account.
For example, if your debit card is locked due to suspicious activity, the bank may freeze all activity on the account until a new card is issued. If you receive a direct deposit while your card is locked, you can still access the funds through online or mobile banking.
Cash app support (1-888-971-6388) transactions are typically irreversible, meaning once money is sent, the recipient generally has control over the funds, and there's no automatic mechanism to take back money once it's been transferred.
There are several reasons Cash App might prevent payments to your account. These include verification issues, privacy settings, expired or invalid payment links, transaction limits, unsupported regions, and security concerns.
After you Contact Support, your account closure will be reviewed to determine if it's eligible for an appeal. If so, the appropriate team will review your account to determine whether your account can be re-enabled.
If you're unable to use the phone number or email connected to the account you can recover your account within the app. You can complete any of the prompts that are listed to regain access to the account. To recover your account: Log out of the current account to get back to the login screen.
To keep your transactions private, go to the settings, find "Privacy & Security," and enable Privacy Mode. Cash App has a social feed that shows your transactions to friends and others. Turn this off in the "Privacy & Security" settings to keep your activity private.
How do you unlock someone on Cash App?

- Tap the profile of the blocked user you want to unblock in your transaction history.
- Tap Unblock at the bottom of their profile.
Please note: Once you use your card for a purchase, the transaction automatically enters into a pending state. Locking your card does not prevent pending charges from completing.

Your bank account can be locked for multiple reasons, which can mean trouble for your finances. When a bank account is locked or frozen, you can't withdraw money, transfer money, or access your account during the lockout period. If it's a checking account, you may not be able to use your debit card, either.
Locking a credit card prevents the card from being used to make most new purchases. But your credit card company will likely continue to authorize any recurring charges you already approved, like subscription payments or automatic bill pay.
The bank blocks all debit and credit transactions on the frozen account to prevent additional financial losses or misconduct. Transferring money to the frozen account will be denied until the account is unlocked.
- Tap the Activity tab on your Cash App home screen.
- Select the payment.
- Select Refund.
- Press OK.
If you use the same password for multiple accounts, and scammers get their hands on it, they could use it against you in a Cash App scam, a Venmo scam, or another type of financial fraud. Always create strong, unique passwords for all your accounts.

If you block another customer on the Cash App, they will not be able to see your account at all. Now if you change your account, the other customer will be able to see this new account until you block them as well.
