I have a keen interest in every part of the process, from supporting mothers during the pregnancy, labour, and birth, to helping them care for their baby during the postnatal period. Unlike many other healthcare roles, Midwives are not there to simply provide medical support, they provide emotional support too.
In your answer, you should discuss the importance of multidisciplinary working, as well as referring mothers to the appropriate support services. Your answer should show your compassion and empathy for the many things they can go through during pregnancy and birth.
A good midwife is personable, trustworthy, funny, well-informed, and someone new mothers can depend on in their times of need. Midwives are the main point of contact for expectant parents. I want to be a midwife as it is practical and spiritually meaningful to work with women, assisting them through ongoing transition and positive changes.
