Anxious the Elephant is one of the original Haven Holidays mascots. She is characterised as being shy, caring, and sweet. She is frequently worried about things but feels safe around her friends. In earlier shows and media such as Rory’s Roadshow and the Tiger Tapes she is canonically in a romantic relationship with Rory the Tiger. This was eventually retconned in favour of them having a platonic friendship. Anxious refers to Polly Popkins as her best friend in the 2006 song ‘Best Friends’. She played the electronic keyboard in Rory’s Tiger Pops.

Anxious is a pink elephant. She is shown to be purple in older illustrations and promotional material but was redesigned in the 90s to make her pink. This version of Anxious wears a blue dress with polka dots and a matching bow.
In her Zoo Troop redesign, she wears a pastel yellow visor and skirt, and a pastel pink T shirt with her initial on it layered over a long sleeved white shirt.
In her Seaside Squad redesign, she wears a white and pastel blue ice cream parlour uniform.
In the 2022 Seaside Squad reboot, Anxious was redesigned and renamed Annie. She was given a Yorkshire accent instead of her original American one and given a much bolder personality. Annie has two outfits; a Seaside Squad uniform, and her casual outfit which is a hot pink dress with blue polka dots and a hot pink bow. Annie has pink eyes instead of Anxious’ original blue ones.
