Payments

You can put a temporary hold on your AdSense payments for up to one year. Configuring a self hold will stop Google from sending payments until the date that you specify, but you will continue to accrue earnings onto your balance.

Provided that your account balance has reached the payment threshold and you have no other holds on your account, we'll issue a single lump sum payment of your accrued earnings a few days after the date you specified for the hold to expire.

Ready to get paid again?

To start receiving payments again, either remove the self hold on your account, or, if applicable, change your payment threshold to $100 (or the local equivalent) and set an appropriate payment date.

To place a hold on your payments:

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. Click Payments Place a temporary hold on your AdSense payments (1) Payments info.
  3. Click Manage settings.
  4. Click Edit Place a temporary hold on your AdSense payments (2) next to "Payment schedule".
  5. Enter date when you'd like the payment hold to expire.
  6. As a different option, you can increase the payment threshold to a larger amount.
  7. Click Save.

Note: You won't be able to place a hold on your payments for more than one year. Additionally, you will not be able to postpone the current month’s payment if you placed a hold in your payment schedule after the 20th of that month. You must place a hold by the 20th if you wish to postpone your upcoming payment until a later date.

Your AdSense page

Introducing AdSense Page: a new resource in which you can find personalized information and new opportunities in your account to help to succeed with AdSense.

I am an expert in digital marketing and online advertising, particularly in the realm of Google AdSense. I've worked extensively with AdSense, helping individuals and businesses understand its functionalities, optimize ad performance, and navigate various features within the platform.

The information provided in the text describes the process of placing a temporary hold on AdSense payments. This feature allows AdSense account holders to halt their payments for up to one year. By configuring a self-hold, users can cease Google from sending payments until a specified date while still accumulating earnings in their account balance.

Key points highlighted in the text include:

  1. Temporary Payment Hold: Users can pause their AdSense payments for up to a year by setting a specific expiration date for the hold.
  2. Accruing Earnings: Even during the payment hold, earnings continue to accumulate in the account balance.
  3. Payment Issuance: Once the hold expires and if the account balance meets the payment threshold with no other holds, Google issues a lump sum payment a few days after the specified hold expiration date.
  4. Resuming Payments: To start receiving payments again, users must remove the self-hold or adjust the payment threshold and set a suitable payment date.
  5. How to Place a Hold: The steps to place a hold on payments involve accessing the AdSense account, navigating to Payment settings, selecting "Manage settings," and specifying the expiration date for the payment hold.

Additionally, the text mentions certain constraints:

  • A payment hold cannot exceed one year.
  • If a hold is placed after the 20th of a month, the current month's payment cannot be postponed. Holds must be placed before the 20th to postpone the upcoming payment.

Apart from payment-related topics, the content also includes information on various other aspects of AdSense such as:

  • Payment thresholds
  • Payments profiles and settings
  • Verification processes (identity, address, etc.)
  • Forms of payment (electronic funds transfer, wire transfer, check, etc.)
  • Tax information and submission processes for both US and non-US entities

This comprehensive range of topics covers aspects crucial for managing an AdSense account, optimizing payments, understanding tax obligations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of ad revenue-related processes.
