I’m wondering because my characters are at lvl 70 rn and I’m wondering if I should ascend them probably will only ascend them only for the acquaint fates
80 yes, 90 also yes but keep track of resources
I feel like 80 is worth it, but 90 isn’t because it is such a small boost but takes like 700k mora if I remember correctly

I miss-read the poll as 'from 80 to 90', because 'to 80 or 90' doesn't make any sense... there's just a huge difference between leveling to 80 (and ascending) and leveling to 90. Getting that last ascension to 80/90 gets you your last boost to your character's innate substat, plus unlocks talent levels 9 and 10. Leveling to 90/90 from 80/90 doesn't get you anything except like 15 points of base attack.
Definitely ascend to 80/90 with main dps asap, and sub dps when you can. Don't bother going to 90/90.

^, you can 90 if you want but it's barely a difference.
There's nothing wrong going 90/90, if you have the resources and you will eventually have them. Some characters also profit a fair bit from going 90/90, if they either have abilities that scale off of HP or heavily rely on transformative reactions (e.g. Swirl DPS).
